In this controversial, but indeed well needed discussion, I cannot myself just irresponsibly give a simplistic answer as being pro one or the Other, as i will have to first make careful and critical analysis and use a great deal of precaution and deduction, and investigation along with research, as well as assert and apply a lot of thought .. as there are a lot of things that are and can be affected in a very catastrophic manner within the entire scope of what might be trying to happen here with this particular debate .. THEREFORE , i am neither on the side of evolution nor creationism at this point i am on the side of questioning until i come across answers that i am satisfied will end my having to question … and i do not see that happening any time soon ..
Even if mutations were truly random at their source, the corresponding phenotypes are not – since a host of internal constraints have to be satisfied, a variety of filters, some acting in series, some cooperating or interfering, stand between mutations and their expression. Which is why all mutations have to “pass inspection” and be vetted by expression into the phenotype and challenged by the environment. This is exponentially more difficult for Multiple Simultaneous Mutations because one or more of them may cause the phenotype to fail.
There is no single ‘arrow’ connecting a random generator of genetic diversity to the phenotype on which exogenous selection acts. It’s a population of arrows only one of which has to hit a target among a huge suite of possible beneficial changes.
